Subject: Israel Danziger to speak July 1, 2008 The San Diego District of the Zionist Organization of America and Chabad Center of University City invite you to a special presentation VOLUNTEER RAPID RESPONSE TEAMS AND YESHIVA SECURITY by ISRAEL DANZIGER Director of Operations, MISHMERET YESHA (Guardians of Yehuda, Shomron, and Aza) Tuesday, July 1, 2008, 8:00 p.m. Chabad Center of University City, 3813 Governor Dr., San Diego (cor. Radcliffe, nr. SW cor. Governor & Genesee) No charge. MISHMERET YESHA is a grassroots umbrella organization of 4,000 volunteers that protects and improves the lives of Jews in Israel since 1988. Mr. Danziger made Aliyah in 1972. Together with the IDF, he trains civillian Rapid Response Teams to defend Israeli homes from terror attacks. That training enabled yeshiva staff to foil a terrorist attack at Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz's Mekor Chaim Yeshiva high school in Kfar Etzion (January 24, 2008). Following the tragic loss of eight students in another terrorist attack at Mercaz Harav Yeshiva in Jerusalem (March 6, 2008), an effort is underway to train more defense teams. Danziger also supervises manufacture and distribution of bulletproof vests and armored child car seats. A member of the Likud Central Committee, an infantry veteran with the legendary Alexandroni Brigade, Mr. Danziger will share first-hand experience of what it's like to live under a daily threat of terrorist attacks. He will also tell us about the roles the IDF and the volunteer Rapid Response teams play in combating terror.
